Spring 2024 Tuition

MPAC accepts cash, check made out to "MPAC," and electronic payments using Zelle.

Drop-in rate is $20 per class unless pre-paid for the month or session as priced below.

There is a 1-time only registration fee of $20 per new student (first class is free and bill will be pro-rated).

We offer Sibling Discounts (20% off per sibling)
and Financial Hardship Scholarships.
Please inquire if interested and in need of assistance.

*** If you are facing significant financial difficulties to the point that you are unable to afford the full tuition, please speak with Carla about scholarship and tuition assistance opportunities. The inability to afford tuition should not be a barrier for students to take class, but you must speak with Carla in advance about financial difficulties. Call 845-754-4584 to speak with Carla. Our Team

Carla S. Gibbs-Zellmer

Owner/Artistic Director

Carla is a trained, classical ballerina that danced professionally with several companies such as Anglo-American Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, and Colorado Ballet. She was privately coached by David Howard, Gelsey Kirkland, and Nanette Charisse. Carla has trained extensively with many of New York's finest teachers: Simon Dow, Willy Burman, Nancy Bielski, Mark Jelks, Madam Darvash, Peter Schabel, and Robert Tucker. As a teacher, Carla has choreographed high-scoring platinum and national award winning dances for companies in New York and Colorado. She opened MPAC in 2002, where she teaches ballet, Pointe, lyrical, combo, pre-K, and tiny tots classes. Carla is also the Artistic Director for the MPAC dance company. The youngest students call her Ms. Carla, but to the older students and parents alike she simply goes by Carla.


Melissa Thomas

Advanced Tap & Theater Dance Teacher

Melissa began her career singing with the Cleveland Orchestra Children’s Choir. She continued studying the performing arts at the Cleveland Institute of Music and Bowling Green State University before her move to New York City, where she received her professional training from the City’s best. Her professional credits span the Dinner Theater and Summer Stock circuits and includes performances at the Duplex Cabaret, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, and Symphony Space with the New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players. Melissa has been the Choreographer for Try-City Stage since its inception and choreographed over 15 productions with Presby Players. She is the resident choreographer for Delaware Valley and Port Jervis High Schools, for which she’s received critical acclaim for each. Melissa received the Helen Hayes Theatre Award for Outstanding Choreography in 1999 and was honored with Special Congressional Recognition for Outstanding Invaluable Service to the Community. Melissa joined MPAC in 2003, where she teaches tap and theater dance. The youngest students call her Ms. Melissa, but to the older students and parents alike she simply goes by Melissa.

Bryan Zellmer

Executive Producer & Technical Director

With over 25 years of performance, production and executive experience, Bryan is a seasoned arts administrator who earned his B.A. in Theater from Metropolitan State University of Denver and then went on to obtain an M.B.A. from Wilkes University. In addition to performing numerous lead, supporting, and ensemble roles on various stages from community and university level to professional, he’s also produced over fifty productions and presented hundreds of professional touring artists. He’s worked as a professional lighting designer for Broadway directors and an Actors Equity theater company, and he’s currently the lighting designer for DV Middle and High School Drama productions. Bryan has served in leadership roles at a ten-thousand seat amphitheater, casino entertainment lounge, state-of-the-art performing arts center, and historic theater, and he is currently the director of KU Presents! at Kutztown University as well as the executive producer and technical director for all MPAC productions. He simply goes by Bryan, although most people call him “Mr. Carla” or “Carla’s husband” until they get to know him.
